Come rest your weary body, mind & soul to get your energy, focus & enthusiasm back
You're probably well aware that self-care is critical for your health and well-being, yet when you're feeling exhausted and frazzled, it can be hard to get motivated to make healthy choices.
It's so much easier to relax after a long, tiring day by just flopping on the couch and binge watching TV (perhaps with some wine and chips, or a bowl of ice cream)—but how do you really feel after you do that, especially if you do it often?
There is. Yoga Nidra! It's a form of guided meditation where you settle into a supremely comfy position (typically lying down) and just listen. It's so relaxing and restorative it makes it easy to practice, even when you're exhausted and unmotivated.
DISCOVER INNER CALM
It doesn't matter what your sources of stress are (whether it's work, caregiving responsibilities, chronic illness, pain, or something else), your body keeps score regardless. High levels of chronic stress are linked with a myriad of negative health consequences, including:
🔹high blood pressure;
🔹cognitive impairment;
🔹skin conditions;
🔹digestive problems;
🔹and so much more.
Often, we have little to no control over the stressors we face. What we CAN control is our response to those stressors. That's where Yoga Nidra can help.
🤍replenish your energy & vitality;
🤍sleep better;
🤍cultivate inner calm & mindfulness;
🤍improve focus;
🤍boost creativity;
🤍connect with your intuition;
🤍& more!
There are lots of different styles, techniques and teachers of Yoga Nidra, and it can be overwhelming to know what to do or where to even begin when you go to practice.
And, it can be hard to have the discipline to practice regularly on your own.
That's why I created this membership. To guide your exploration of Yoga Nidra and help you discover what works best for YOU, and then encourage and support you in establishing a steady Yoga Nidra habit.
My signature Rooted in Yoga Nidra program includes short weekly "lessons" and 2 Yoga Nidra audio recordings each week. It's 10 weeks of carefully-curated info & sessions that unfolds systematically so that you can discover your unique Yoga Nidra "prescription," i.e., what time of day, place, length, frequency and techniques work best for you.
You'll receive a beautiful printable Yoga Nidra Tracker & Journal PDF, and weekly emails (to let you know what's new and encourage you to practice).
Plus, you'll be able to interact with me and other participants in the online course platform, discussing experiences, and tracking and celebrating progress publicly (participation optional, of course).
I'm available in the online platform to answer any questions you have and provide guidance about how to customize your practice. Or you can send me an email or DM to ask anything more private that you'd rather not share with the group.
To provide variety and opportunities for going deeper with your Yoga Nidra learning and practice, I'll be providing new content each month. For example, it might be a new Yoga Nidra practice, a special topic workshop, or a challenge. I'll be asking for input from members about what you want most.
A BIT ABOUT ME...
As a founding member of Rest to Restore, not only will you explore Yoga Nidra meditation in a guided, supported way to establish a regular practice (and feel better!), you'll also enjoy:

Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation where you settle into a supremely comfortable position and simply listen. It is typically done lying down, but may also be done seated when lying down is not an option.
Yoga Nidra literally means "yogic sleep," but it is not actually sleep as we know it. It's a state of consciousness that hovers between sleep and wakefulness, where you remain alert and aware while being deeply relaxed at the same time.
Many different techniques can be used to reach the state of Yoga Nidra. This membership will help you explore various techniques and find ones that work especially well for you.
If you're completely new to Yoga Nidra, you might want to try out some of the practices available on my YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/@CalmAndCreativeStudio to get a sense of what Yoga Nidra is like and experience my style of teaching.
Yoga Nidra is suitable and safe for most people.
Individuals with a history of severe trauma, anxiety or depression should check with their health professional before participating, and might benefit from initially doing private sessions that can be customized for their unique needs.
Yoga Nidra is not recommended for individuals with mental illnesses involving psychosis or a distorted sense of reality.
Yoga Nidra is a simple practice where you get comfy and listen to a guided journey. It requires no previous experience with meditation at all.
Yes, Yoga Nidra helps improve sleep for many people. Better sleep is one of the most-appreciated and well-known benefits of a Yoga Nidra practice.
One of the lessons in the Rooted program is focused on how Yoga Nidra helps with sleep, and which techniques work best for that purpose. (Not all Yoga Nidra practices work equally as well for actually helping you fall asleep at bedtime or in the middle of the night.)
The time you'll spend will vary based on your goals, availability, level of interest in the background information, and desire to journal. The only essential things are: (1) to listen to the 10 short lessons that are part of the Rooted in Yoga Nidra program (5-10 minutes a week) and (2) to listen to Yoga Nidra audio recordings (10-30 minutes) on a schedule that's realistic for you.
If you're able, a daily practice of either a short or longer session would be lovely. But, you may prefer to aim to practice just once a week (in which case, I'd suggest you do a longer session). Or, you might choose a practice schedule somewhere in between weekly and daily. It's important that you aim for a practice amount that will be enjoyable (and not pressure yourself to practice in a way that adds stress to your life).
Beyond the Yoga Nidra audio, all of the other membership components (e.g., journaling, participating in online discussion) are all optional, but can enhance your experience if you have time and interest in going deeper.
The Rooted in Yoga Nidra program will drip out over the first 10 weeks of your membership, i.e., each week's lesson and Yoga Nidra practices unlock week-by-week. After that, you continue to have access to all of that content for as long as you remain in the membership.
You might go through the Rooted content in 10 weeks, or you might choose to go slower and take longer than 10 weeks. After you've finished going through the Rooted content once, you might choose to revisit favourite practices again and again, or you might go through the entire 10 week program repeatedly. And remember, you'll also have access to new content monthly to supplement the Rooted content (for as long as you remain a member).
Only the PDF printable items will be downloadable.
Since accountability and commitment are key for this membership, refunds will not be given for any reason. You can cancel at any time and you will not be billed for the next quarter, but you cannot receive a refund for a quarter that you've already begun.
If you are unsure about whether the membership will be a good fit for you, I recommend doing some of my free Yoga Nidra sessions on YouTube www.youtube.com/@CalmAndCreativeStudio before joining, and I encourage you to reach out to me with all your questions at info@calmandcreativestudio.com.
Joining the membership offers many advantages over practicing on your own with free Yoga Nidra sessions available online, including:
(1) The Yoga Nidra recordings in the membership are ad-free, so there are no delays in starting your session or annoying interruptions during or after the session;
(2) The quality of free online Yoga Nidra sessions vary widely, while in the membership there will be consistently good-quality options;
(3) In the membership, you won't be overwhelmed with choices and waste time trying to decide what you'll listen to (time that could have been spent actually practicing!);
(4) The membership provides accountability, helping ensure you ACTUALLY practice regularly and Yoga Nidra doesn't slip from your mind;
(5) I'm available to provide support and guidance so that you're not left on your own to "unpack" the Yoga Nidra experiences you have;
(6) You'll be encouraged and inspired by the other people in the community.
If joining a membership is not something that fits in your budget currently, know that practicing with free content online can certainly be helpful, and I encourage you to check out my free content on YouTube: www.youtube.com/@CalmAndCreativeStudio.
